So in Febuary my art folder just self-deleted (still don't know why I think my laptop is just dying.)

I've managed to recover almost everything because...

I had a hard drive with some art saved just in case, you know.

I had a google drive with stuff saved to it for when I was transferring data from my old computer to this one.

I figured out how clip studio cloud works.

Overall, bad still, but not that bad. Also I asked for a refund for EaseUs but uhhhh vvvvv

tbh I'm not sure what this means but if I were more rich I'd ask a lawyer if I could sue lol. Like, I think (emphasis on THINK, not 100% sure) it means their server is not accepting emails from gmail. Which if true, would be... morally dubious. I mean not accepting refunds, even though it was said that you can get refunds, and not accepting emails asking for refunds, forcing customers to wait until the refund period is over... Draw your own conclusions on that.

My advice: DON'T USE EASEUS FOR FILE RECOVER THEY ARE STRAIGHT UP TRASH!!!!!! (even in terms of file recovery, there are better FREE options out there)

I opened up my pictures folder where my art folder is located, only to find it mysteriously missing. Fuck.

I check my recycling bin and it only has 3 images in it. Wait, didn't I clear it literally 3 hours ago?

Fuck. fuck. fuck. fuck. fuck.

I should've looked at the files before emptying.

Turns out my MANY (probably 4-5) years of artwork have all been deleted. Randomly. Which is just extra terrible because I'm the type of person that likes to keep all my artwork no matter how old or cringey. You know, stuff I drew in 3rd grade even. Did I do this? Hell no. It takes three clicks to delete a file. I'm not that fucking stupid to not notice that I'm deleting my art folder. It just fucking deleted itself I guess for no reason.

And I guess I could say that well, I have all the results (pngs) saved still. I have those images. But what about the sketches??? The art I didn't post???? The animations which I haven't finished????

Gone.

I uploaded some of my Clip Studio stuff to the cloud and I go to download it but for some reason I can only download it and rewrite the original version that I don't have because it fucking deleted itself so I can't even redownload it from the cloud which I specifically uploaded there in case anything like this ever happened. Like why can't I just download it like normal??????

So I downloaded some file recovery programs like Recuva and EaseUS, I even paid for that shit, but did they work? Only partially. They could only recover SOME of the medibang files. Clip Studio and Krita? Where I mainly draw and animate nowadays? Gone.

I mean I already kinda had artblock for digital art, but that doesn't mean I still don't want to look at my digital art, or you know, go back to it when my artblock is over with.

Don't expect digital art from me soon.

So me and my best friend @snailasleep were both browsing newgrounds at school, and I found an awesome piece of art. I was like "dude this is awesome, lemme favorite it so you can go to my page and favorite it too. Rated it 5 stars. Nyways, snail goes ahead to click on that art and tries to rate it. But because we were both sitting next to eachother in school we had the same IP and he wasn't able to rate it cause newgrounds doesn't let you rate stuff from the same ip. Probably to stop bots or whatever. This was really just a message to @snailasleep.
